In the course of an independent study project VA Shiva, a junior at Livingston High School, became interested in Ptolemy’s Theorem. He was at the time studying Vector Geometry and made an attempt to prove this theorem by vector methods.

Shiva did not accomplish this but he did run across this interesting result which he subsequently called Ayyadurai’s Four Point Theorem. This was published in the Spring 1980 volume of The New Jersey Mathematics Teacher.
